Hey Chuck!

Been about 4 months since we last communicated about trying to get the GUI firmware generator to produce working code so the USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01 you guys are selling actually works correctly.

I see there was a update to the GUI code on the 7th of this month and I also see a few new issues reported by a few guys who have tested that new firmware.

I wanted to reach out and ask you for the current status of the GUI and the code it produces for the USB-PD-CHG-EVM-01 setup specifically.

Whats working and what are the bugs your working on in the new GUI update?

I'm asking because I don't want to hop back into this EVM until the GUI firmware is allowing stable SINK & SOURCE operation.

I found an alternative to the TPS25750 but don't want to go down that road considering you may be close to having the GUI fixed.

    Ryan,

    We have recently added significant resources to addressing the GUI issues, and I have identified a couple of issues that need to be fixed before it is ready to release.  Our manager in charge of the GUI is out of the office until tomorrow, so I do not currently have a definitive answer to a delivery date.

    I am aware of 2 bugs in the code that you need to be aware of.

    1.  The cell count is being incorrectly set by the GUI firmware, this should not be the case for the version of the firmware that I provided you.  That code has the fix for this issue in it.

    2. In dead battery mode (SINK only) it appears that the charger configuration is not correct for the firmware that I released to you.  I am working to address this issue currently and I will have an update for you by COB tomorrow.
