Hello,

we have a running product with thousands of Batteries in the Field. Now we have to do a new Golden Cycle/ChemID Match to fix a Problem. Right now when the Device wakes up and does its First Estimation for the Capacity by OCV Table it is Off by more than 20%. To make it Accurate the System has to be charged up Fully wich takes alot of Time to wait for.

We allready programmed a Tool that is able to change certain parameters and/or Bits in the Field with a IIC Box for Communication. The Goal is to just have a Single Tool with ideally a single button to Press for a Update. Since with the new Golden Image/ChemID  there will be some Hidden Values that need changing wich our Tool right now is not capable off. Is there Something like the BqUpdater that is able to write a new *.srec or Flashstreamfile but keeps the Serialnumbers and Calibration Data intact ?

    Hello Robert,

    You can read out the values to preserve, then write the golden image and write back the values to preserve.

    This will effectively update hidden parameters and preserve calibration/serial/ etc.

    thanks for the answer but i allready know this would work, but right now we do not have a Tool to read out Data AND program the srec File. I found on this Forum some Python Tool for srec updates with the EV2400 but i cannot get it to work. Is there a Tool with Sourcecode like the bqUpdater or something like that wich can do all of the above ?

    Like for instances the bqupdater works with commands out of an INI File but i cannot find any Documentation about those.

    I can't possible think that we are the only ones that have the Problem with updateing Packs of any Kind in the field without BQ Studio

    Hello Robert,

    TI does not provide any production/field tools for use with the EV2400, because that would be inconsistent with the terms of sale.

    You can write you own tools based on the python code and/or use 3rd party programmers/updaters.

    Is there Documentation for the bqUpdater.exe and can you give me a URL or something to a 3rd Party Programmer/Updater ?

    There is no documentation about bqUpdater,exe

    You can check if the vendor of MKST-3P-ALT-EV2300 has something.
