BQ24072T: Question over utilizing load switch with battery charger

Part Number: BQ24072T
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22992, BQ24079T

Hello,

I am using a BQ24072TRGTR battery charger IC to charge my LIPO Battery 3.7V, 6000mAh. The battery will supply power to loads(boost converter to boost up voltage to 5V to power a Rasberry PI 4b). A fuel gauge would monitor the battery's fuel. The IN pin of the BQ24072TRGTR will take in 5V via USB. The BQ24072TRGTR will only be utilized to charge the battery and not provide power to the loads. For the scope of my project, I would like to add a switching method to where no loads will draw from the battery when charging via USB. In contrast, the loads will draw from the battery when in an unplugged state(no charging via USB). I was thinking a TPS22992 would possibly work? But not quite sure how I would connect the pins of the TPS22992 to properly function.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you,

Andres
