Hello,

I am new to battery gauging, and I am trying to get started with my first learning cycle. But, first I would like to ask a couple questions.

Is the BQ40Z80EVM compatible with any conventional charger? In other words, do I have to use a specific battery charger when using the BQ40Z80EVM?

Is the BQ40Z80EVM communication free from the battery charger? If so, how does the charger connects with the BQ40Z80EVM?

Hello Jose,

It does not matter what charger you use for the learning cycle, for Li-Ion batteries the normal CC/CV charging profile should be used.
