UCD90124: TI Fusion error when using import to device (Project file)

Part Number: UCD90124
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , UCD90120

I created a fusion project on V7.6.1, on a PC which I can load succesfully into boards fitted with a UCD90124

I then moved to another PC running Fusion 7.7.1 and get the above error when using the import to device and selecting the same project file.

Even if I load the project from a currently programmed device and save the project file to the new pc, If I try and re-program the file that was created I get the same error. even if there are no parameters to update.

I have tried running fusion as Administrator without success.

can you please resolve this issue, even if it means downloading the earlier version.

  • HI

If you are using UCD90124 instead of UCD90124A, the Fusion GUi 7.x does not support it.

The support on the UCD90124 is very limited. Will you consider to move to the UCD90124A so that we can better support?

  • Yes I am using the UCD90124 not the A version due to supply issues, we have 200 PCB's with these parts assembled on so changing device is awkward and costly.

The version of V7.6.1 works on the old PC OK

If this is possibly the case then what software do you offer for programming the existing UCD90124? or can you at least provide a link to the earlier software versions?

  • Hi

    Please try this old GUI

  • Hi, This has solved my problem, but to me there was no problem up to Version 7.6.1, surely it would make more sense to see what the bug actually is and resolve it for both UCD90124, and UCD90124A, as there is no mention that I can see that the latest version of Fusion does not work with the UCD90124 device

  • Hi

UCD90120 is very old device and GUI 7.x had stopped support this device back to 2017/8 time frame. GUI 7.x continues supporting UCD90124A.

GUI 2.x is the right tool for UCD90124.
