Hi team,

as title. My customer would like to know does our device support ASIL-D or not?

Or what ASIL-x we support?

Please advise.

    Hi Paul,

    TPS65381A-Q1 can be used in systems up to ASIL D. ISO26262 is a system level standard and ASIL ratings are system level ratings so no IC can be ASIL rated unless it is the whole system.

    We provide functional safety documentation for this device on the product page. This documentation, if followed and integrated into a system properly, is targeted for use in an ASIL C system, however this device has been used in systems for several customers for several years now in ASIL D applications. It is up to the system designer (the customer in this case) to determine if our device meets the functional safety requirements of their system.
