BQ24610EVM: R9, R10 resistance issue

Part Number: BQ24610EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24610

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer:

BQ24610 Temperature Protection is 0 to 45°C (R9 = 9.31 KΩ, R10 = 430 kΩ). What should the R9, R10 resistance be changed to if the temperature is changed to 0 to 60°C? The customer has referenced to the formula in the user guide, but don't understand clearly.

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hi Cherry,

The only unknowns in the datasheet are RTH_HOT and RTH_COLD. These are the values of the chosen thermistor at the desired 60C and 0C respectively. Plug in these values, and also plug in V_LTF and V_HTF. Please apply the actual voltages rather than the percentages for these numbers. In other words, if V_LTF is 73.5% of VREF, replace it with 2.43 V. Also replace V_TCO with 1.14 V.

    Regards,

    Mike Emanuel
