TPS6594-Q1: 1212+1111 orderly and immediately shut down

Part Number: TPS6594-Q1

Hello,

A couple of questions for shut down:

1. What does the orderly  shut down looks like from active to standby?

2. What are the difference of orderly shut down and immediately shut down for SOC? Any impact for immediately shut down?

3. Is it ok to use immediately shut down only? For example, let VCCA drops to VCCA_UVLO (masked VCCA_UV_INT) to power down. No off command from SOC/MCU

Refer to Figure 6-3 from the user guide. https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/slvuc32

It would be best to inquire the SOC team about impact of immediate shut down. It isn't the recommended method for shutdown, and usually reserved for faults that could damage the system such as thermal shutdown and supply over voltage  protection.
