BQ24072 & BQ24073 what does the TERMINATION DISABLE input exactly (TD Input) ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24072, BQ24073

I just finish to read the datasheet of the bq2407X serie (72/73/74/75/79), and I not anderstand realy good the "TERMINATION DISABLE" fonctionality.

Here is the pin fonctionnality description from the page 25 of the datasheet :

TERMINATION DISABLE (TD Input, bq24072, bq24073)
The bq24072 and bq24073 contain a TD input that allows termination to be enabled/ disabled. Connect TD to a
logic high to disable charge termination
.
When termination is disabled, the device goes through the pre-charge,
fast-charge and CV phases, then remains in the CV phase. During the CV phase, the charger maintains the
output voltage at BAT equal to VBAT(REG), and charging current does not terminate. The charge current is set by
ICHG or IINmax, whichever is less. Battery detection is not performed. The CHG output is high impedance once
the current falls below ITERM
and does not go low until the input power or CE are toggled. When termination is
disabled, the pre-charge and fast-charge safety timers are also disabled. Battery pack temperature sensing (TS
pin functionality) is disabled if the TD pin is high and the TS pin is unconnected or pulled up to VIN.

So, my question is :

Does it means that if we enable the "termination disable fonctionnality" (TD connect to a logic high), the Constant Voltage phase will never stop even if current charge falls below than ITERM ?

And if yes, what's the goal ?
