LM5116EVAL: how to modify to change I/P to take upto 95VDC and O/p Current upto 9A?

Dear E2E Forum,

I need to use LM5116EVAL/NOPB

I need minor modification as per my requirement given below:

I/p on this card supports upto 100VDC , my requirement for I/p is 45V-95V DC. So can i use it? what modification do i need to do for the same
O/p on card is 12V upto 7A. but my requirement is o/p 12V 9A. So again can i use it? what modification do i need to do for the same?

Hello Vijay

LM5116EVAL supports up to 60V, not 100V. You have to use >100V MOSFETs To handle 95V. Also, please keep in mind that the SW pin can be damaged if the switching spike is greater than 5V.

Hello EricLee,

Thanks for your reply... I would like to know As per datasheet of Lm5116 it can work upto 100V and my max volt wont go above 95V actually my ideal nominal volt will be 72V only, 95 is max that it can go! So what would you suggest to make changes in EVM components to make it work?

1) Yes, LM5116 can work up tp 100V

2) You have to use >100V MOSFETs to handle 95V.
