UCC28070A: Why add components for light load?

Part Number: UCC28070A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28070

Hi,
Page 35 of the UCC28070 datasheet shows extra components added to add an offset and PWM ramp to the current sense inputs of the UCC28070. They are effectively adding slope compensation. The sole purpose of this is to make the Boost PFC less noisy in light load. However, this is surely unnecessary, and can be omitted?
All current mode  SMPS’s are noisy in light load, and nobody usually  cares about it. Why does the UCC28070 datasheet care, and why add so many extra  components to solve what is essentially  a non problem?

The problem of light load ringing is made wosre by the use of a CT, which is essential for UCC28070, but still, light load is light load...who cares?
