BQ27200: BQ27200 Battery Management Installer

Hi,

I would like to know, on where could I download the battery management software for the BQ27200.

I have the Battery Management Studio, however it is not seeing the BQ2700, would there be anyone who could help me find the correct installer for the BQ27200?

    Hello Lorenzo,

    bq27200 is a very old product. The evaluation software was provided on CD-ROM along with the EVM package.

    Thank you very much for the response! I am very much aware that the BQ27200 is a very old product. However, the EVM package is nowhere to be found on Digikey or Mouser. Thus it would be helpful if I could have the download link for the BQ27200 installer.

    Hello Lorenzo,

    The installer does not seem to be online. If you know the name of the installer EXE file, i can try to search for it. You will also need a Windows XP or older OS to use the EV2300 that is needed to run the software.

    What feature exactly do you want to use in the software?

    Hi Shirish,

    Thank you very much for the quick response. I dont know the name of the EXE file. This is the first time that I will be the using software.

    The reason that I need the software is for me to evaluate the product on one of our suppliers which has the BQ27200 chip.

    We have no concerns running the EV2300, and we would be grateful if we could have the  software.

    Hello Lorenzo,

    Programming requires the evaluation software but if you just want to read registers, then you could use bqStudio in advanced mode.

    With regards to the bqStudio, the version that I am using is:

    Battery Management Studio ( bqStudio )

    Version : 1.3.101 Build 1

    Build Date : May 8, 2020

    Kindly advise on how could I change my bQstudio to advanced mode, will you be able to guide us?

    Once in advanced mode, will you be able to educate us on how to read the data memory of the BQ27200 chip?
