TPS53681: Max Slew Rate

Hello,

Some of TPS53681's slew rate settings define only Min values in the section 6.17 Slew Rate Settings of the data sheet, but how much could the Max values be? Especially, I'd like to know the value of the setting VOUT_TRANSITION_RATE = 0xE019.

Hi Yokota-san,

I'm not surprised that it doesn't have the max. value for each slew-rate setting since it only considers min. value of slew rate according to Intel requirement. May I know why customer is concerned about max. value?

Derrick-san,

The TPS53681 circuit will supply a Xilinx FPGA, which requires a certain range of supply voltage start-up time. It specifies not only the Min value but also the Max one.

A rough estimate is OK such as "The slew rate will stay in 20% increase of the Min spec," for example. Could you give me feedback on this?

Hi Yokota-san,

Sorry for the delay. I just got the feedback from designer after confirming the test data. The current min. spec is 20% of typical value. For example, the min=1.5625vmV/us, typ=1.9531mV/us, max.=2.3437mV/us from design spec. But it would be under 10% in real test data.
