Hi Experts,

My customer want to replace MAX811 through a pin-to-pin socket, but we all know that there is no DROP-IN REPLACEMENT.

However, I find TPS3823&TPS3802&TPS3831 are a good opp. to replace MAX811 with same function. I have a question below,

1. Which one is best choice to replace MAX811?

2.What are the difference between TPS3823, TPS3802 and TPS3831?

Hello Gordon,

I'll be happy to help you.

1.) For the MAX811 I would recommend the TLV840 instead. It has the similar range of Vthreshold as the MAX811, manual reset, higher accuracy, plus an adjustable reset delay.

2.) The TPS3823 has a watchdog with dual reset of MR pin. The TPS3831 is also a good match for the MAX811, but it is only in a X2SON-4 package. Finally the TPS3802 only supports Vth 2.64V and 2.93V.

If you have the exact MAX811 partnumber I can give a more accurate recommendation.

Thanks for your quick response, my customer have a new request below:

Do we have the suitable socket to the MAX6318LHUK26DX-T? I find TPS3824 has same function, same pinout, but only 200ms delay time. My customer selected the MAX6318LHUK26DX-T becasue of 1.6s delay time.

Actually, my customer need to keep RESET high level grearter than 500ms for ensuring power start-up time.
