BQ40Z80: Why can't the CHGM and AM bits be written as 0?

Hi all,

I can't write to CHGM and AM bits from Battery Mode register (0x03). Do you know why?

Hello Loic,

These bits (CHGM, AM) are reflections of the BCAST bit, you cannot write them because the gauge will just write over it again with the settings of BCAST.
