LM25116: Frequency Syncing two ICs

Part Number: LM25116
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5143-Q1,

Hello,

We have a design that generates two different voltage rails (5V and 12V) using 2 LM25116MH/NOBP ICs from a single battery source of nominal 24V.

I know there is a sync pin that allows me to feed an external clock into each chip. I would like to sync up the switching frequency between the two chips, but is there a way to do this without having to use an external clock? Something that might allow me to sync them up with one setting resistor? I currently have them set as different frequencies each IC with its own RT resistor. Setting them up each with the same value of RT introduces audible noise.

Looking forward to a response! Thanks!
