BQ24600EVM: Charging current required is less than 2A

Part Number: BQ24600EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24600,

Hi All

I need to design a charger to charge a backup battery(6s li-ion 2AH). and I plan to use BQ24600.

One thing i have noticed in BQ24600EVM datasheet/guide is that minimum current is 2A. See photo below.

from what i understand from BQ24600 datasheet. i should be able to just swap the current shunt resistor from default 0.01 ohm to 0.1 ohm to get the charging current of 0.4A(0.2c of 2AH)

Can anyone help me to confirm if it's ok to replace 0.01ohm on BQ24600EVM to 0.1ohm to achieve 0.4A charging current?

Thanks

Richard
