I use msp430 i2c to communicate with BQ34Z100.

I can read from it.

i.e chemical id

For updating chemical id , it seems to pass the write command to BQ34Z100.

However, when read it back , it is still the old value.

Is there anything that i miss?

Hello Ming,

Chemical ID command is read only. Program the correct chemistry using bqStudio and then take a golden image. Chemical ID will be included in the golden image. Then write the entire golden image. This is the recommended procedure.

Is it possible to update data flash for the Cid ?

Do you have any sample for doing that?

Hello Ming,

I recommend that you use the GPCCHEM tool to find a matching chemistry ID. Then use bqStudio Chemistry tab to program the matching chem ID. It is a self-explanatory GUI.
