TPS7A7001: Vout protection logic

hi team :

recently i found a issue when i use the TPS7A7001 device. And there may be some leakage from the load, and cause the Vout to -0.2V ,then the TPS7A7001 will not output anymore. But i add 300Ω between Vout and GND, then the issue is fixed. would you share any comments about this protection logic? And if there any recommend resistors value？

Hi Allen,

Was the device output floating beforehand or was VOUT tied to ground?

How was it connected when you noticed this waveform output.

hi Juliette:

The Vout connects to the load directly. And we found that there is no output after power on, then we noticed this Vout waveform. if we disconnect the load , everything work well. So the -0.2v comes from the load and it is hard to change itself. So I just want to confirm the internal protection logic and recommend the resistor(connect from Vout to GND ) value to customer to close this case.

are you using a resistor or an eload?

what is the output capacitor being used?

What is the load current?

Hi Allen,

What is your input voltage?

Does the problem persist if you increase the EN pull up resistor above 10k or if it connected directly to VIN?

Does the problem persist if you decrease the input capacitor within the 10uF max threshold on the DS?

before you connect the 300 Ohm load, is the LDO supporting a load?
