Gauge meter IC at military grade temperature.

Dear Forum,

I would like to ask if there is any option for a Li-Ion battery gauging IC that can operate at -55 to 85 degrees C? From what I have seen so far all if the available solutions are going down to -40.

If there is no solution what could be the issue if we proceed to use the a -40 characterized device at lower temperatures?

Hello Ioannis,

You can check the TI battery gauge search for temperature ranges: https://www.ti.com/power-management/battery-management/fuel-gauges/products.html

We do not offer any gauges rated with -55degC rating. This would be outside of the absolute maximum rating we give in the datasheet. Anything outside this range could cause damage to the part.
