Hi,

Can you suggest how to select zener in the resistor-zener circuitry for ghost cancellation

Hi Akash,

The Zener can decrease the reverse voltage on LEDs when ghost circuit works. Zener voltage cannot be higher than VCC, usually 2~3V is recommended.

Is there any constraint that the zener voltage should be less than the LED forward voltage?

Hi Akash,

Yes you are right. During de-ghosting state to discharge the parasitic capacitor on scan line, lower Zener voltage can get better effect. If the Zener voltage is higher than forward voltage, there would still have some charges leak through LEDs, and may cause ghost issue.
