BQ24780S: about the ACP/ACN differential pair routing

Hi Team,

A quick question, about the ACP/ACN differential pair routing.

ACP & ACN length is about 9.1inch (9100mil) between the Rsense and Charger, then the width & spacing of this differential pair 8 mil, is this looks fine or not ?

Hi Kai,

The length is very long. Ideally it should be shorter. There could potentially be a lot of noise coupled in.

Do you have a example that the length should under what value ?

And about the differential pair, how much width of each trace & spacing we prefer ? 10/10/10mil , 15/15/15mil or even higher ?

Hi Kai,

We don't have an official guideline, but we use 10mil trace (per signal) on the EVMs and it has worked for us. 10mil spacing between the ACP and ACN is fine. Length should be as short as possible.
