use DRV8432 with a current sensing IC

Hi guys,

In my motor control project, I use DRV8432 (in parallel full bridge mode) as the motor driver. To measure the motor's current, I use HCPL-7520, an isolated current sensing IC from Avago, along with a shunt resistor, which is connected in series with the motor (this configuration allows me to know both of the amplitude and the direction of the current).

According to the HCPL-7520's datasheet, it needs a floating voltage supply to operate, and this is most often obtained from the same supply used to power the power transistor gate drive circuit.

So, in my case, can I get the required floating supply voltage from the built-in boostrap circuitry of DRV8432? If the answer is yes, from which pin of the driver can I obtain the voltage signal?

Thanks for reading my question. Any answer would be very appreciated.
