Hello TI Team,

I want to use TPS546C23 Regulator for below requirement.

1. Vin 12V with 5% tolerance

2. Vout= 0.88V @ 33/34 Amp

3. Ripple Voltage= 20mV

4. Voltage Tolerance= 3% (26.4mV)

5. Load Transient: 50% or less (16.5/17A or less).

6. Ambient Temp.= 85 deg

Can someone please suggest and clarify if I can go with this regulator?

Hi Kapil,

Yes, you can go with TPS546C23 or TPS546C20A.

There is also a module version of the device: TPSM846C23 (PMBus) and TPSM846C24 (non-PMBus).

Hello Tomoya,

Thanks for the quick response. But few observations with switching frequency of 200kHz

1. IC junction temperature: 131 degree

2. Total Power Dissipation: 5.17W

Hope this will not be an issue for 0.88V.

Hi Kapil,

As you pointed out, you will most likely need a fan to keep the device cool to operate at 85degC ambient.
