Hi, I( am planning to use TPS659163RGZT to power AM5706 processor in my board. I am planning to use it with out power on switch. That means Once i give external power the board should start working. Can I pull down the PWRON signal so it will be having as a switch on event,(which is there all the time). Or can I utilise POWERHOLD pin to achieve this. What is the main functionality of POWERHOLD signal, it was not clear in datasheet. Is there in OTP memory required to do this.

Is there any reference design available with this setup. Please help me to sort out this issue.

Hello,

Section 3 of the TPS65916 User's Guide to Power AM570x (Rev. A) covers the different connections between the Processor and the PMIC and Figure 2 and 3 specifically cover the POWERHOLD and PWRON usage. If in your example the enable signal is consistently available after the board is turned on then connecting this enable signal to POWERHOLD is the easiest way to implement what you are trying to do.
