MC34063 application in CCD camera power supply

Hi,

Is it advisable to use MC34063 as buck converter for CCD sensor power supply in CCD measurement application?

Does it cause any potential problem with its switching to CCD sensor?

Hello Krunal,

Does the CCD have any special requirements?
You could add add extra output filtering if a cleaner output is needed.

I want to use ILX553 Sony Linear CCD array with MC34063.

As per the datasheet of ILX553, nothing like special requirement is mentioned.

So I have asked as per the application wise.

Generally, MC34063 can be used for such application or not?

For extra filter, what are the recommended components ?

Krunal,

The MC34063A will work. There are filter examples in the data sheet on pages 6, 8, and 9.
