TPS61022: Switch mode current regulator

Part Number: TPS61022
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA199,

I need a 2A current source (~3.3V) from 1.7 to 2.7V inputs. TPS61022 can work with these specification but it regulate voltage. I need to use it for regulating the output current. The feedback reference of TPS61022 is ~0.6V, therefore directly using a current sensing resistor across this create too much power loss (2 x 0.6 W). So If I use a high side current sensor, such as INA199, and its output to the feedback (FB) pin of TPS61022, does it work as a current regulator? Would it be any issues in feedback stability?
