TLVM13630: Soft Start

Part Number: TLVM13630

Hi team,

Let me make sure soft start time of TLVM13630.

  1. As for tss, does it mean EN high(start switching) to 90% settling of Vref takes 3.5ms~7ms?(Not time of EN high to start switching)?
  2. I'm not sure what tss2 means. Could you explain more details of tss2?

Regards,

  • Hello Shota,

    Q1

Once enable rising threshold is exceeded, and tEN time elapses (EC spec), the device begins to switch. From point at which device starts to switch, until, the reference voltage (FB), is at 90%, that is tss. With the refence voltage being at 90% and knowing FB resistor divider gain, you can calculate what the vout voltage would be after that time elapses.

    Q2

During soft-start, FPWM is disabled. After device soft-starts and reaches its regulation point it will operate in FPWM if the device orderable is a FPWM device orderable or the device is configured for FPWM. From first switching event until device opeates in FPWM is tss2.
