LM2574: The difference between LM2574M-5.0 / NOPB and LM2574M-5.0

Part Number: LM2574

My customer would like to use LM2574M-5.0 / NOPB.

But he found only LM2574M-5.0 and considers whether he can use this to his products.

So, I would like you to answer the following questions.

  • Is the difference between LM2574M-5.0 / NOPB and LM2574M-5.0 only whether or not they are RoHS compliant?
  • Does LM2574M-5.0 contain prohibited substances?(Looking at the data sheet, it doesn't seem to contain prohibited substances.)

I look forward to your reply.

  • Hi Yuto,

Do you know the date code or Lot number of LM2574M-5.0 will be used?

    B R Andy

  • Hi Andy,

    Thank you for your reply.

    My customer says the following.

    -----------------------

It is a market item (not purchased), so I cannot confirm the date code or Lot number.

Does it mean that the substances contained are different depending on when it was made?

I think the only possible RoHS substance is lead.
I don't need guarantee about it, but I wonder if lead is used intensionally when it is design and manufactured.

Also, I would like to know the difference between with and without "/NOPB".

  • Hi Yuto,

We may check the assembly information with device Lot#

NOPB means No Pb, or Pb free
