Hi sir,

           I have to design a buck converter in IBB configuration in which the input supply is +20V and output is -15V. The load current is approximated to be 0.5A. Which is the best IC i can use for this application?

          what all parameters i needed to be checked to design this.

  • Hi, 

    The TSP7H4010-SEP is a good candidate for IBB configuration, however, your requirements exceed the max rating of the device (+20V - (-15V))=35V.  This device is rated to +32V.  If you can work with inputs and outputs that don't exceed this max rating I recommend the TPS7H4010-SEP.  If not, we have no other devices available to meet your requirements.

    I assumed you needed a design for space applications with some level of radiation tolerance.  The TPS7H4010-SEP offers that.  I cannot speak to the commercial buck converters and their capabilities.  I see this part is 65V so should be Ok but you should confirm IBB configuration works with this device.   If you repost your question using that part number you will be directed to the business that supports this device.
