Hi team,

my customer is doing schematic with TPS61089 please help review this and give feedback. Add one question, can this part support MLCC+POSCAP？

    Hi Sophia,

    Could you please share Vin rang, Vout and load current? Typically, we don't use POSCAP at output. MLCC is just okay.

    Hi Eric,

    customer use 61089 provide power for two smart amps, RMS 320mA  peak 1300mA for one amp and two amps load current will double(RMS 640mA peak 2600mA). And Vin is 6.5V~9V.  Customer said that they can avoid MLCC noise issue in light load by using POSCAP.

    使用POSCAP是为了避免或者降低轻载时候MLCC 产生的啸叫问题

    Hi Sophia,

    The sch is basically okay. COMP parameter  can be optimized. Rcomp (PR1510) is recommended to change to ~15k, Ccomp (PC3978) changed to 4.7nF. Cff (PC3979) changed to 10pF.

    Typically, we don't use POSCAP. Customer can use several small value MLCC or add one electrolytic capacitor.
