TPS55289: BuckBoost Brake Energy from Motor

Hello E2E Experts,

Good day.

Would use them BuckBoost TPS55289  (22V Uout) for a Motor drive. If fast motor braking the energy will flow back into Uout.

Is TPS55289 able to feed this brake energy back to Uin (14- 25V)?
Other loads supplied with Uin could use this energy.

    Hi CSC,

    Could you first estimate how large will this reverse current? Typically, if  the reverse current is not large (2-3A), this current can flow back to Vin node. But if  the current is large, the device will sense this large current and shutdown all FET which disconnect the flow back path. Besides, the reverse current will increase the Vout voltage. Please make sure the Vout will not  beyond ABS voltage.
