In the datasheet, figure 9.1 Typical application, the feedback is from the voltage divider on the output. The feedback uses the secondary side return and the controller is on the primary side return. How can the correct voltage be fed back with the return difference?

The GNDs follow our EVM which have those connected, but aren't in the diagram.
Since its non-isolated the GNDs should be the same allowing for proper regulation.

OK, thanks. For isolated, the feedback would have to go through an opto-coupler? Any suggestions for magnetic coupling the feedback?

For space rated devices optocouplers are typically not used since they have poor radiation performance.
Most customers I have heard of use some sort of magnetic feedback.
I dont have a good suggestion for the magnetic coupling however.
