UCC27537: Input signal threshold and input signal hysteresis

Hi,

My customer is evaluating UCC27537 and have some concern about the Input signal threshold. From the table we can see the Vin_H(min) = 1.8 V and Vin_L(max)=1.2V. So in the worst case the input signal hysteresis is only about 0.6V. In some case of huge input ripple it may cause the misreading of the input status. Are there any solution for this or 0.6V is enough for the input signal hysteresis ?

Hi,

The potential issues with this will depend on the quality of the input signal. For most signals, 0.6V is plenty of space. In order to keep the input as clean as possible an RC filter can be used on the input. Depending on the drive strength and noise observed on the inputs, the RC can be adjusted in order to maintain the signal within the 0.6V hysteresis.
