BQ35100: BQStudio don't write to DF params

Hi Shiris, battery is charged. I read correct Voltage in the register param. The temperature alert I think is related to default value of Operation Config A where TEMPS (Bit 7) is set as External, but I need to change to internal.

Anyway I think that this alert could not block writing operations.

We are unable to duplicate the issue.

Change the setting to internal and try. If that does not work, then send a screenshot of bqStudio startup window so that we can check if there are other issues.

No I'm not able to change Operation Config A neither thorugh Data Memory tab nor with Advanced Comm tab.

Hello Matteo,

bqStudio should show an error message in red at left bottom on error when trying to write Operation Config A in Data memory tab. That may give a clue as to what is going on.

If there is no error reported there, then the register value should show in red. Let us know.

Thanks for the info. It looks like the EV2400 is providing wrong information to bqStudio. You can try updating the EV2400 firmware and see it that helps. https://www.ti.com/tool/EV2400

It looks like the gauge is not writing data flash. It may be in a fault mode. Can you check?

I don't find any reference to fault mode in the datasheet.

I would suggest that you start afresh by programming the original firmware again. www.ti.com/.../sluc623

Our EVMs are provided for this very purpose - to make it easy to find differences that may cause issues.
