In TPS63020DSJR datasheet, I have a query in Table 1. Matrix of Output Capacitor and Inductor Combinations, in our design we have used NOMINAL INDUCTOR VALUE 2.2 µH and 4x22 NOMINAL OUTPUT CAPACITOR VALUE [µF]. In the foot notes of the table, they have mentioned

  • Inductor tolerance and current derating is anticipated. The effective inductance can vary by 20% and–30%.

I cannot understand why the inductance tolerance cannot vary to +30%, Please explain

    Hi  Shree,

    As you know, this device is released long long ago, and these data is based the inductor we choose at that time from some Inductor manufacturers.

    And of course, these data will change over time, just take the newest data provided by manufactures should be ok.
