DC\DC Boost 3.3V to 5V 200mA Max

I am looking for a DC\DC Boost regulator 3.3V to +5V Max 200mA (TYP : 50mA) with the smallest PCB area possible. We currently have a ADP2504 that takes a total PCB area of 7mm x 6mm. This is a little over kill in the current rating but we will use it unless I can find something close to half the area and is normally stocked. Do you have anything that could meet my requirements ? Also I can not go below a pitch of 0.5mm !

    Hi Shmuel,

    You can take a look at TPS61099. This device has two packages available: WCSP and WSON to achieve smaller PCB area.

    It has fixed 5V Vout version TPS610997 so you could save two feedback resistors.

    Thank you so much for getting back to me on this.

    Do you have any solution with the inductor integrated that may give a better \ smaller solution ?

    Are Fig.11-1 and Fig.11-2 accurate representation of solution sizes ? If so then I would estimate that the DRV package would give an approx. area of 5mm x 5mm and the fix version 4.5mm x 4.5mm. However there doesn't seem to be a fixed version in the DRV for +5V. Also there doesn't seem to be any adjustable versions in stock (at digikey at least ! ). If we go for the DSBGA package with the fixed +5V output (small stock @digikey) then I approximated an area of 4.5mm x 4.5mm - HOWEVER it is VERY UNLIKELY that we can work with the 0.4mm pitch !

    Hi Shmuel,

    If you cannot work with WCSP package, you can consider using TPS81256, which integrate input/output capacitor, inductor, IC. The device package is 2.9mm x 2.6mm with 1mm pitch.

    Hi Shmuel,

    You could also take a look at other boost converter solution in TI.com -> products -> Power management -> Step-up (Boost) regulators.

    Other recommended devices are: TPS61023, TPS61253A...
