The design team noted that certain operating modes (Fsw & FB (internal vs. external) ) would affect the result which are included in the analysis.

I have a question about your information.

The question number 1-1 is the phenomenon as C3 is disconnected with circuit.

I think that this answer is we can observe the SW node pulse on Vout.

Is my understand correct?

Hi Higa,

If C3 is disconnected and only a resistive load is attached, it effectively forms an RL circuit and the output voltage will depend on the load. Higher values for R will yield closer to SW node pulse, low values of R will yield more of a sawtooth waveform on the output voltage.

If there is no load connected (R=infinity) , the output voltage will be the same as the SW node.

To demonstrate this I ran a simple behavioral simulation of the buck power stage with C3 disconnected :

Note that since there is no output capacitance, the actual device will be unstable.
