LM22673: IADJ Pin Connected to Ground

Can the IADJ pin on the LM22673 be tied to ground?

What would happen if it was connected to ground?

Hello

The IADJ pin can not be grounded. Grounding this pin may cause internal damage to the device.

The IADJ pin can be left floating.

Our circuit would see a max input of 16V and draw 0.5A at 3.3V, would that still cause damage if the IADJ pin was grounded?

Hello

The damage would occur to the circuit that is connected to the IADJ pin to control the current limit.

Grounding this pin can cause excessive current in the current limit control circuit.

Are you trying to substitute the LM22673 for another device that has this pin grounded on the PCB ??
