We ran into a problem with our battery powered device which uses the TPS61070 to power a bridge sensor. I am unsure at what threshold the converter transitions from low power mode to normal operation and that is why the 2-3 kHz ripple is present in picture 1. I added an additional a load resistor (+20mA : total 40mA) and 50uF output capacitor which removed the low frequency ripple as seen in picture 2.
My question is pertaining to how the converter handles low load ~20mA. I did not find in the spec sheet where it defines when it transfers to power save mode. I attached the schematic for reference picture 3.
Any help will be appreciated.
