TPS1H000-Q1: delay pin resistance

Part Number: TPS1H000-Q1

Hello team,

My customer wants to use auto-retry mode at over current situation.

the datasheet mentions the delay pin connect pull up resistor to Battery line.

However, the datasheet mentions max voltage should be 7V.

Battery line should be 28V max.

Is this OK to pullup to battery line?

and what is the recommend value of resistance?

the datasheet doesn't have internal resistance value.

So, customer can not calculate pull up resistance value.

Best Regards,

Yuki

  • Hello Yuki,

On page 13-14 of the datasheet in section 7.3.3 there is a section on standalone operation.

You can operate in auto-retry mode by connecting the delay pin to VS (3.4V to 40V) through a 100kΩ resistor.

Also, if you are using an MCU, you can connect the delay pin to the reference voltage of the MCU.

Most MCUs operate in either 3.3V or 5V logic, if you use an external pull up to this reference, use at least a 4.7kΩ for 3.3 V and at least a 10kΩ for 5V.

Let me know if this revolves your issue.
