UCC28950: About protect application question.

Hi team,

My customer has one question about CS pin application. RD design 3 way to protect the circuit.

OVP and OCP and OTP. pls see schematic as below.

So, The OP 5V output signal is suitable to connect CS Pin or not?

Due to the product has a secondary side broken issue.

    Hello,

    If your customer want's to implement discreate OVP, OCP and OTP.   I don't believe pulling up on the CS pin to disable the device is the best approach.

    To disable the device it would be better to pull down the SS pin with an external FET.  To reenable the UCC28950 just requires turning the FET off, allowing the UCC28950 SS power up.
