LM25085: Battery charger

HEllo,

I'm designing a dynamic Li-ion charger. The user will set the precharging current, the cuttoff voltage, the CC current, the CV threshold and the CV voltage depending on the bateery specs.

for that reason, i have added a PI stage to manage the CC mode and another circuit to switch between different needed phases.

The PI tuning was done using zigler-nicholes approximation.

The simulations looks to working fine. the charging current was simulated from 50mA to 3A

Please let me know if i have missed anything, and/or you have any suggestions for me ?

    You may be interested in this application note which shows a simple implementation of CC/CV

    I suggest having a look through the app note specifically at Figure 1 (traditional method to implement CC/CV) which appears to be similar to what you are showing in your schematic.

    Also I would suggest taking an EVM and verifying on your end this CC/CV implementation and crosscheck with your sims.
