Hello everyone,

I've been trying to finish a learning cycle on a 13S3P battery pack of LG INR21700-M50LT.
I've confirmed the ChemID (0x0576) through GPCChem tool and set up the data flash memory accordingly.
The gauge detects the full charge and changed the Update Status to 0x05, but after the disharge-relax it stays like that.
What am I doing wrong? I've attached the registers Log and the DF export at the start and the end of the learning cycle.

Hello Emir,

I have taken a look at your logs and it seems that and it seems that you started at the IT Enable step below:

It will require an additional charge relax discharge relax cycle to get valid readings to get to update status 6. There is a pretty comprehensive guide in the TRM for the learning cycle if you would like to reference that.

Additionally, could you provide the GPCChem report and data.

Hello Erik,

I've done the previous steps shown in the image you attached, I just started logging at the step you pointed out.
I've attached the GPCChem report and data.

I know about the guide in the TRM and have followed it but still had trouble. I also tried with the procedure described in the slua903, where you send the IT enable and then start discharge-relax-charge-relax cycle with the same result, Update Status stays at 0x05. I will try and perform another cycle as you suggest though that isn't as it is described in the TRM, thanks.

Hello Emir,

I would reduce your charging voltage slightly, it looks like you are going to the max range of the chem ID DOD0. I would try another discharge and share the log when it completes.

There are a couple methods to disable the resistance updates, if the gauge calculates a negative scale factor or negative resistance it will not allow an update.

Well I guess this was it.
I both lowered the charging voltage and increased the UV threshold on which I'm cutting off the discharge just a tiny bit and it finished correctly.
