TPS23881: Short Circuit Fault Detection of non-POE connection after PD disconnect

Part Number: TPS23881

Hello Team,

Can you help me with question regarding how not to trigger short circuit detection if a non-POE ethernet cable is connected after having connected a POE PD and disconnecting?

The issue does not present if non-POE ethernet cable is connected before POE PD has been connected and disconnected.

Therefore, I would assume there are some registers that are not being cleared and should manually be cleared so that a short circuit fault is not detected from connecting a non-POE cable after disconnect.

Please help identify which registers need to be cleared or reset.

Last, can you share are there any SRAM updates planned for release in the next 6 months for TPS23881?

Best Regards,

Jacob Butler
