TPS40170: Over current for SW pin

I have a question about the SW pin of TPS40170.

Does the SW pin detect over current with both sink current and source current?

Hello Shuji

Yes, the SW pin is used for both. The high-side switch current is monitored by measuring VIN-SW voltage. The low-side switch current is monitored by measuring SW-PGND voltage. Please refer the Figure 19 of the datasheet.
