Hi Team,
Customer would like to know that regarding data memory, what is the purpose of All DF Checksum, Static Chem DF Checksum and Static DF Checksum on the Configuration [Integrity Data] page?
Thanks,
Annie
Hello Annie,
As stated in the technical reference manual (section 15.1.1.18), the integrity data instructs the fuel gauge to calculate chemistry checksum as a 16-bit integer sum of all static chemistry data.
Checksum is used to check errors in data that might have occurred during data transmission or storage.

Hi Jose,
Customer wants to double confirm does these three checksums have to calculate the input themselves?
Thanks,
Annie
Hello Annie,
Yes, all checksums need to be calculated from the host. More details in section 9.4 from TRM.
This is the principle in all our gauges. What changes is the address you write to for memory allocation. Host is responsible for writing a valid checksum.

Jose
