BQ76952: Can it be used in cascade

Figure 1 shows the cascade usage of BQ76930 seen by customer. He wants to replace BQ76930 with BQ76952 according to Figure 2, is it possible? 

Figure 3 shows how other chips are connected. Can the BQ76952 be connected in this way? What is the impact if the BQ76952 is daisy-chained? What is the essential difference between the 3 pictures?
