Hi team,

I am doing some test with BQ76952 to explore the specific logic of cell balancing.

In automatic cell balancing mode, when Multi-cells need balance and I set different values of "Cell Balance Max Cell" , I know balance principle is " Adjacent cells cannot be balanced at the same time", but I can't find the deeper rule.

Can you explain the specific logic for me?

For example, I draw a balance excel as below, is the rule right?

condition: cell9,10,12,13,14 need balance, sets Cell Balance Max Cell≥3

and in this condition , what will happen when I set Cell Balance Max Cell=2?

Hey Lillian,

Your excel sheet is correct.

Cells next to each other cannot balance at the same time. If you set Cell Balance Max Cell = 2, then the device will pick two cells that are not next to each other to balance.

Thanks for your reply. And I still have a question, in my excel, there are four kinds of balance conditions. How do the device switch four conditions ? Is there any deeper rule?

Hey Lillian,

The firmware handles the balancing algorithm. Unfortunately it is fixed and not available for release.
