Hello,

I am designing a board whose delivery times to the customer are short. Therefore I am trying to find a DC2DC in stock that can work with the XILINX ZU7EV. There are currently no configured PMICs available. I wanted to verify whether the LMZ30604 component can be used to supply voltages to the ZU7EV component in a reliable way? the LMZ30604 can be configured to generate the required voltages, but I wanted to know if it is recommended or if something else that is available in stock is better.

The voltages are 0.85V, 0.9V, 1.2V, 1.8V.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Currently, around ~450 pcs. of LMZ30604 are in the TI store. Other possible solutions you can consider are TPSM82864A and TPSM82810 (see DS link below). It offers a smaller solution size and is also cost competitive, and in the long run, it will have a better component supply.

Are you in contact with the local TI Sales team? How many units do you need for the board assembly?

Thank you very much for all the support!

I have already ordered about 50x LMZ30604 to have in stock for any case. I previously looked at the components you suggested, but since they are currently out of stock, I decided to use the LMZ30604 component.

I need 7 prototype cards ready by the end of October (schematic is done, currently, with LMZ30604) , so I am only designing the board on what is available now. I plan to layout the DC/DC parts in the final step, so there may be some inventory changes.

We contacted TI Israel a few weeks ago about other components, and they claimed that they don't deal with that.

It is important for me to know whether, in your opinion, the LMZ30604 can be used for the ZU7EV (for the low voltages especially. for the current they are OK)?

Understood. You already have LMZ30604 samples on-hand that you can use in your build.

If ZU7EV doesn't require tighter Vout tolerance than +/-1.5%, then LMZ30604 should not have a problem. However, I'm not aware of the load current requirements, so I cannot check if the IC can support it. Do you know the current requirements for 0.85V, 0.9V, 1.2V, and 1.8V rails?

We have a reference design for ZU2CG-ZU5EV (see link below), but I'm not sure if it has similar specs with ZU7EV.

the requirements are (Avnet SOM with ZU7EV): 1A@0.85V, 1A@0.85, 1A@1.8V, 3A@0.9V, 3A@1.2V,
